Fuel prices will be more expensive again at the beginning of next week. Diesel is expected to increase by 1.5 cents, while petrol is expected to rise by 3.5 cents, a source in the sector told Notícias ao Minuto.

On Thursday, the average price of simple diesel was €1,639/litre, while petrol 95 cost an average of €1,710/litre, according to data from the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

These average daily prices, it should be noted, "are determined based on the prices communicated by the fuel stations, weighted with the quantities sold in the last known period, incorporating the discounts practiced at the filling stations, such as fleet cards and others".
