"The indicators remain very stable, in the number of deaths, in the number of cases and even in the pressure on the National Health Service," said Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, questioned by Lusa during the official visit he is making to Cape Verde today.
According to the head of state, the pressure on hospitals "has come down" and is now stabilised.
“Stabilising at values that seem to confirm, after 15 days after the last major easing of lockdown, that the opening, at least until now, has had no effects that have disrupted the situation of health structures and the number of cases, and even more the number of deaths, ”said the Portuguese President.
The transmissibility index (Rt) of the SARS-Cov-2 coronavirus in Portugal rose to 1 today, while the incidence of infection cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days increased by two tenths to 50.5.
The previous numbers of these indicators, released on Friday, indicated an Rt of 0.95 and an incidence of 50.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
