According to Portugal’s flag-carrier, Toronto, Stuttgart, Las Palmas, Alicante, Budapest and Bucharest are the new routes to be added to its network from 10 June 2017.
The airline also announced the reinforcement of operations to a number of other destinations already served, such as Madrid, Manchester, Moscow, Dusseldorf and Faro, as part of the company’s increase in offer planned for next summer.
Speaking to journalists during a meeting to announce the new routes, TAP CEO Fernando Pinto recalled that the growth expected for 2017 “follows on from a 2016 that saw intense activity and change.”
Among changes expected for next year he recalled the ordering of a new fleet of 53 medium and long-haul aircraft, due to arrive towards the end of 2017, the purchasing of A330 destined specifically for the US market, and the retrofitting of the interiors of 48 aircraft currently in operation.
