The districts of Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Évora, Beja and Faro are currently under orange warning due to the forecast of heavy showers, accompanied by strong gusts of wind, according to the IPMA.

These five districts will be under orange notice until 9:00pm today.

The districts of Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda, Coimbra, Leiria, Santarém, Lisbon and Setúbal are also under a yellow weather warning until 21:00 today due to the forecast of showers, sometimes heavy, which can be accompanied by gusts of strong winds and thunderstorms.

The orange warning is issued by IPMA when there is a moderate to high risk meteorological situation and the yellow warning whenever there is a risk for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.

IPMA forecasts periods of cloudy skies, showers, especially in the central and southern regions, where there will be locally heavy hail accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

The forecast also points to a light to moderate wind, being more intense in the highlands, and a drop in temperature in the central and southern regions.

The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 10 degrees Celsius (in Guarda and Bragança) and 16 (in Faro and Lisbon) and the maximum between 18 (in Guarda and Castelo Branco) and 29 (in Braga).
