According to a statement from the National Maritime Authority (AMN), the authorities received a complaint from beach concessionaires at 8:45 pm on 3 July. On their way to the beach, the agents spotted groups of young people on the beach in the Algarve.
The Maritime Police ordered all groups of young people to disperse, as they were violating the rules, "in particular for the rules of occupation on the beaches, permanence and physical distance in places open to the public", pointed out the statement.
The orders were accepted by the young people - there was no arrests.
Hi,
I’m staying in Lagos with my portuguese husband for hollidays. We are permentaly living in Sweden but visit family in Lagos every year.
As I understand the restriktions about Covid-19 says: Circulation on public roads is forbidden between 11p.m. and 6 a.m. of the following day.
Do you know how it comes that it’s still people in the streets after 11pm? Who is following up the restriktions? The police? It seems strange with restriktions that not everybody have to follow. The police is passing people in the street after 11 pm without saying anything. What have I’ve been missing? Is it a joke?
Best regards,
Catherine
