The most recent franchises have spaces between 110 and 270
square meters and have created a total of 42 direct jobs (10 in Alverca, 18 in
Benfica and 14 in Castelo Branco).
The 100 Montaditos brand is based on typical Mediterranean
cuisine and the aesthetics of the Andalusian tavern, with its variety of
montaditos – small sandwiches with various fillings –, from the classics, with
ham, potato tortillas, chicken kebab and BBQ sauce, to more gourmet, with
smoked salmon, goat cheese and camembert cream. In addition to savoury snacks,
there are montaditos with dulce de leche, chocolate cream and condensed milk.
“100 Montaditos is already a classic among our franchises
and has been a great success among the Portuguese. From aperitifs and cold beer
at a good price, to the relaxed atmosphere of our establishments decorated as
true Andalusian taverns, we believe that these were several factors that helped
us to conquered Portugal”, said Enrique Lasso de la Vega, International
Director of Restalia.
These new openings are part of the Spanish company's expansion
plan, which expects to reach 50 stores in early 2023 and make Portugal the
first international market with the representation of all its five brands.
So far, Portugal already has the brands 100 Montaditos, The
Good Burguer, Pepe Taco, and Panther Organic Coffee.
