People should realise the government gives monstrous tax break to landlords.
They only have to pay tax on 25% of their short term rental income. This is a disgrace and has totally destroyed the long term rental market for many ordinary people, by making it impossibly expensive to rent.
Why on earth should the already poor be subsidising the greedy rich?
Many of whom dodge taxes as well.
