A Dutch employee of an
American firm has been awarded €75,000 after he was fired for not leaving his
webcam on while working.

Working remotely from
Diessen, he was fired for “refusal to work” and “insubordination” after
refusing to have his webcam on for nine hours each day. The court found the
termination “not legally valid” according to NL Times.
