An 80 year old woman from Romania has released her debut album of folk songs with the intention of raising funds to restore habitats in what is dubbed the “Amazon of Europe”.

According to Positive.News: “Eighty-year-old Silvia Dan learnt her folk songs at her grandmother’s knee. Having spent her life caring for livestock on her smallholding in the Carpathian Mountains, she’s now starring on an album released in the UK”.
