The shopping centre’s owner, Hammerson, announced that Dunnes will make its debut thereby occupying around 54,000 square feet of retail space at Dundrum Town Centre.
Along with children's, men's, and women's clothing, the new store will also carry a selection of home furnishings.
Superdrug will convert a disused 8,000 square foot fashion unit into a new cosmetics store in Dundrum, according to Hammerson, while Western Union also intends to construct a new office nearby.
It claimed that the three new contracts are a part of Dundrum Town Centre's extensive restructuring and repositioning.
In addition, this month Penney’s enlarged its shop area by 64% in Dundrum as part of a relocation and significant upsize. This started with the launch of a new Brown Thomas store in 2022.
Hammerson's strategic emphasis to reposition and revitalise Dundrum Town Centre is visible, according to Connor Owens, Managing Director, Asset Management (Ireland & Scotland), as it continues to welcome new brands, initiatives, and market firsts and create new income streams.
Connor Owens said: “The repositioning of 200,000 sq. ft of prime space has been integral to this strategy, so we are delighted to announce the signing of Dunnes Stores. This is a testament to the quality and attraction of Dundrum as well as the hard work of our colleagues and brand partners.”
“With Dunnes Stores, Brown Thomas, Penney’s, and Nike Live, we now have our dream occupier line up and are now in a stronger position than before the pandemic,"
“There is more to come, and our customers can expect even more exceptional brands and experiences in the second half of the year,” he continued.
