Tests carried out
The varieties nominated for inclusion in this catalogue are subjected to tests of distinctiveness, uniformity, and stability, as well as tests of agronomic value and use.
After completion of the tests and laboratory analyses, the results are presented to the Technical Council for the Protection of Agricultural Production for evaluation. The final decision rests with the DGAV (Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary).
The 2026 edition includes varieties approved in previous years and those registered in January of the current year.
