In order to engage with the foreign resident community in the region, a team from the Tourist Board will be presenting these new plans at this year’s Better Living in Portugal exhibition.
There will be presentations throughout the weekend on their exciting new initiative, which is an intense cultural entertainment programme for residents and visitors that will demonstrate that the Algarve is open 365 days a year with varied exhibitions, concerts, performances, festivals and gastronomy throughout the year.
They will also present their cycling and walking programme for 2016 – 2019 and unveil the new routes from/to Faro Airport this winter. The presentations will take place on both days.
Refreshed after their gruelling battles with the recent forest fires, the region’s Bombeiros will also be present with demonstrations and advice on fire safety in the home and garden, medical emergency procedures and first aid for animals.
The annual Better Living in Portugal event will take place at Portimão Arena on 8 and 9 October. It is free to enter and no reservations are required for any of the presentations by the Tourism Board or the Bombeiros.
