Having suspected a cannabis plantation on a farm, the GNR carried out various investigations and surveillance actions, culminating in the location of the plantation and the arrest of its owner at the time when he was cultivating the plants.

This action led to the dismantling of a cannabis plantation, where the plants were in different ripening states and were located along a property of approximately 1 hectare, very close to the Spanish border. The plantation was intentionally in a wasteland, difficult to access and hidden in the vegetation.

In this police operation four searches were carried out, namely the suspect's home and vehicle and two more on farms, resulting in the arrest of the suspect, the commission of a drug trafficking offense, and the seizure of a total of 504 cannabis plants, some being about 3 metres high.

The individual, with a criminal record for the same crime, who has already served two 3-year prison sentences in Spain, is being held at the GNR premises
