Rescue workers received the calls from 6pm and by 9.30pm were still busy trying to resolve at least two cases on Avenida das Forças Armadas and Radial de Benfica. Authorities told Lusa News Agency that the flooding had occurred due to a lack of cleaning in gutters and drains.
