The consumer confidence indicator in the euro area stabilised in May, while the economic sentiment indicator fell.
In Portugal, the INE said on Wednesday that the private consumption quantitative indicator went up in April, "reflecting a more expressive positive contribution of both the components, lasting and short-term".
On the other hand, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation indicator slowed down in April due to a less intense positive contribution by all the components, machines and equipment, construction and transport material, the latter with a more significant slowdown.
