Golden visa investment down 43% in July

Investment obtained through 'golden' visas fell by 43% in July, year on year, and decreased 37% compared to June, down to €56 million according to SEF statistics.

In July, investment resulting from the granting of a Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) totalled €56,005,967., which represents a 42.9% decrease compared to the same month of 2019.

Compared to June, investment decreased 37%.

Last month, 108 'golden' visas were granted, 98 of which through the acquisition of real estate (37 when buying properties for urban rehabilitation) and 10 through capital transfer.

The purchase of real estate in July totalled €50.3 million (urban rehabilitation amounted to €13.1 million) and the transfer of capital to €5.7 million.

Of the golden visas issued in July, 21 came from China, 12 from the United States, nine from Brazil, eight from Vietnam and seven from Lebanon.
