In a statement, the PSP refers that the septuagenarian, resident in the municipality of Ovar, district of Aveiro, was arrested for violation of mandatory confinement on Monday, 6 April, at 4.20pm.
"The woman was intercepted in a commercial establishment in that city and was aware of the positive result of the covid-19 test, as well as the obligation of mandatory confinement, so she was followed up to her home by this Police", says the same note.
It is a sad statement to the character of this 78 year-old woman for what she did. She purposefully went to a market knowing the full extent of her current health situation and disregarding any consequences for other people. This woman's behavior is very frightening. I hope that this is just a one-time incident.
Good police work!
Keep safe Portugal!
