According to a statement from the portal, delays in issuing Citizens Cards have helped to see the complaints about IRN leap by 133 percent in the past 12 months, when compared to the same period last year.

Over the past year the portal received 219 complaints relating to the IRN with 31 percent of the complaints being related to the late issue of citizens cards and a further 18 percent regarding poor service including prolonged waiting times.

According to the portal, the IRN is ranked as the worst public institute in the country with a satisfaction level of only 6.3 out of 100 based on responses by users.
