After having participated at the opening ceremony of the 70th general assembly of the United Nations on Monday, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, is returning to the organisation’s headquarters on Tuesday to take part in the leaders’ conference on terrorism, convened by US president, Barack Obama.


Later in the day, the Portuguese president is to meet East Timor’s prime minister. This is the first time Cavaco Silva will meet Rui Maria de Araújo, who was elected back in February.
