The operation was launched yesterday by Spanish police and controls borders in the ports of Algeciras, Tarifa and Ceuta.
It aims to crack down on people trying to illegally entre Spain as well as terrorist threats.
The operation is coordinated by the European Frontex agency and involves police forces from 12 European countries.

The article is incorrect. The operation has nothing to do with Gibraltar itself but aims to control access through the SPANISH Ports on the STRAITS OF GIBRALTAR.
