Sousa has now managed to climb 20 places in two weeks, having competed in Wimbledon and in Sweden.

The ATP top 10 remains virtually unchanged, with Djokovic in the lead, followed by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, while Daniil Medvedev and Fabio Fognini switched positions, in ninth and 10th respectively.

This week Sousa competes in the Swiss Open.

The rankings also saw Pedro Sousa moving down four places to 113th, João Domingues rising two places to 170th, Gonçalo Oliveira in 252nd place, while Frederico Silva 298th, still ahead of Gastão Elias, climbed 21 places.
