Lisbon: Don’t be deceived by the sunny and clear skies should you be flying into the Portuguese capital this weekend. Thermometers are forecast to drop to below zero, with highs struggling to reach double figures for much of the coming week.
The South: Southern parts of the country will not escape the big freeze, with temperatures expected to drop well below seasonal averages, with frosty mornings set to be a daily occurrence until the end of next week.
The North: As is customary, northern Portugal will be hardest hit by the Arctic-like weather over mainland Portugal, with snow never too far away for this part of the country until at least next weekend.
