Ban on circulating between counties ends but compulsory curfews remain in high-risk localities

Restrictions in place for the New Year festivities will now revert back to the State of Emergency measures in place before the holidays.

A ban on circulating between counties, in effect since 00.00 on December 31st, ended today at 5am, but compulsory curfews remain in place in localities with the highest risk of transmission of Covid-19. Countrywide restrictions in place for the New Year festivities will now revert back to the State of Emergency measures in place before the holidays. The current State of Emergency came into force on December 24 and runs until Thursday.
