Sporting ends the training in Lagos with a rout at Portimonense's under-23

Sporting ended on 21 July the stage in Lagos with a 7-1 rout, in a training game with the under-23 team of Portimonense, in which Jovane Cabral scored three of the seven goals from the 'lions'.

The game, with 35 minutes in each half, manager Rúben Amorim started Diego Callai, Matheus Reis, Coates, Eduardo Quaresma, Gonçalo Esteves, Matheus Nunes, Dário Essugo, Rúben Vinagre, Jovane Cabral, Tiago Tomás and Gonzalo Plata.

During the game, in which Tiago Tomás, Matheus Nunes, Matheus Reis and Gonçalo Esteves also scored for Sporting, Antunes, Pedro Marques and Tiago Ferreira also saw action.

Sporting returns to Lisbon on 21 July, with the national champion team taking a break on Thursday and returning to work on Friday, already in session at the Academia de Alcochete, at 10:00, behind closed doors.

At the stage in Lagos, Rúben Amorim was able to watch, in addition to the training game on 21 July, his team in matches with Portimonense (2-2), Belenenses SAD (2-1) and Angers (2-0).

Sporting's team kicks off the season on 31 July, with a discussion of the Super Cup, against Sporting de Braga, winner of the Portuguese Cup, in a game to be held at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro, starting at 8:45 pm.

Less than a week later, it starts defending the title of national champion, facing Vizela at home, on Friday, 6 August (8:15 pm), in the first round of the I soccer league.
