The offer of housing for sale in Portugal has dropped in 10 district capitals in the last two years. And leading the list is the Alentejo with three cities: Portalegre (-42%), followed by Beja (-37%) and Évora (-37%). Among the capitals where available stock also dropped is Faro (-23%), Setúbal (-20%), Santarém (-19%), Coimbra (-19%), Leiria (-18%). In Viseu, the drop in housing supply reached 15% and in Bragança, 10%. In Lisbon, the offer of housing stock remained unchanged in the same period of time.

On the other hand, Aveiro was the city where the offer to buy a house grew the most in this period (25%), followed by Ponta Delgada (21%), Braga (13%), Funchal (12%), Castelo Branco (11% ), Porto (10%), Guarda (8%) and Viana da Castelo (3%).
