The list has been compiled every year since 1976 and this year at the top of the list is GOAT (the acronym for the Greatest of All Time). Also included is gaslighting, absolutely, moving forward and amazing.

Lake Superior State University has created a list of 10 words that they deem to be most “misused,
overused, and useless” and has forbidden them from being uttered at all in
2023.

Besides “gaslighting”, maybe we should ban words like “Corruption”, “Misuse of public funds”, “propaganda”, “endemic poverty”, “refugees”, “rape”, “abuse”, “obscurantism”, “abortion”. Then all will be well around here. If words to describe what is being done to you are banned, then it will be like these things never happened/happen? Like those kids, in their normal cognitive development, that believe that if they cover their eyes and don´t see nothing means other people don´t see them, either? Priceless.
