In a joint statement, the SPMS and the DGS explain that all citizens eligible to take the vaccine can go to the vaccination points, stressing that both primary or booster vaccination will be available for people aged 18 or over, as well as the seasonal booster for priority groups.

People aged five years and over for primary vaccination against Covid-19 will also be able to go to vaccination sites, without appointment. Using the digital password is optional.

The authorities recall that the booster dose is available to citizens aged 18 or over "who have completed the primary vaccination schedule against covid-19 and who have not been infected for less than 90 days".

The seasonal vaccination campaign for covid-19 started in September 2022. So far, three million doses of the vaccine have been administered, mostly booster doses - initially for people over 60 years old and, later, in the age group over 50 years old.

The open house programme works at the various vaccination points in the country. Opening hours can be consulted at https://covid19.min-saude.pt/casa-aberta
