The works will involve constraints on the circulation of trains, such as the interdiction of some trains, according to a notice by Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP).

IP also indicated that, to guarantee the safety of workers, it will be necessary to stop the movement of trains at certain times, namely during the night and early morning.

Thus, from Monday to Friday trains will not be running between 11 pm and 5 am, on the night of Saturday to Sunday between 7:50 pm and 9:50 am and, on the night of Sunday to Monday, trains will not circulate from 7:50 pm to 4:50 am.

The project involves work on the track, installation of a new signalling system and a speed control system, implementation of video surveillance systems and improvement of stations, among other works.
