Metropolitano de Lisboa states that Telheiras station will be closed during this period of works. Campo Grande and Cidade Universitária stations will remain open with their usual schedule.

The works will allow the connection of the new viaducts in Campo Grande to the currently existing infrastructure, allowing the future entry into operation of the already announced new circular line. “New switches and crossings” will also be installed to enable new connections between the stations.

According to Metropolitano, “until normal circulation is restored on the Green and Yellow line section”, the offer at peak hours will be reinforced.

During the intervention period, the south atrium of Alvalade station (Green line) will close at 01:00, instead of closing at 21:30.

Scheduled to open in 2024, the new circular line, which will connect Rato station to Cais do Sodré, extending over two kilometres of network, will create a circular ring in the centre of Lisbon.

The Metropolitano de Lisboa operates daily with four lines: Yellow (Rato-Odivelas), Green (Telheiras-Cais do Sodré), Blue (Reboleira-Santa Apolónia) and Red (Airport-São Sebastião). Normally, the metro runs between 06:30 and 01:00.
