The new store was officially opened on Thursday at Dundrum Town Centre by Neale Richmond the Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
The opening of this new Penney’s has brought an additional 130 jobs, bringing the store’s employment to a total of 360 active employees.
The second and third floors of the former House of Fraser building are now home to the new Dundrum Penney’s, which offers customers 60,000 square feet of retail space. Penney’s has expanded by 64% since its previous location, making it the third-largest Penney’s in Ireland and one of the largest fashion retailers in Dundrum Town Centre.
Head of Penney’s in Ireland and Northern Ireland said: “I’m so delighted to welcome our valued colleagues and customers into our long-awaited bigger and better store in Dundrum. This has been a significant project for our property and retail teams, and the finished result looks incredible."
