This week Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram announced users in Europe will be able to buy subscriptions to use the social networks without seeing any advertising.

According to Le Monde European users will be able to skip the ads for a fee of €9.99 per month on the web, or €12.99 for the iOS or Android apps.
