A group of seven of the book's collaborators from France, Germany, Italy, Wales, Cornwall and Portugal joined the Aljezur Bombeiros to celebrate the book's success. Contributors to this charity project ranged from the age of five to ninety, and Sarah Wyld, whose Lagos- based podiatry practice Sweet Feet, was one of the main sponsors, said, "Without such a fantastic group of keen, motivated people happy to give of their time in this important cause, the finished book would never have come to fruition.''

'Amovate' in Vale da Telha was the other main sponsor whose support was fundamental in the book's success along with other local businesses which helped pay for the printing of this unique book, put together as an appreciation of Portugal and a heart-felt thanks to the Bombeiros.

Local resident and one of the book's writers, Ana Margarida Torrado Sebastiao added, "Although I chose Aljezur as my home, all my roots come from the opposite site of Portugal, Miranda do Douro, where you can find a very unique culture, which includes the second official Portuguese language, the ‘mirandês’ or ‘lhéngua mirandesa’. Community building has always been something truly important to me, so, words are not enough to express my gratitude and happiness for being part of such a meaningful project, with so many amazing people from all over the world, all ages and backgrounds, joining together for such a beautiful cause. I’d like to thank and show my deep appreciation to Tony and Sarah for the invitation and brilliant initiative, and to all the contributors for your love, words and actions towards our beloved Portugal. Your kindness and creativity go beyond words."

There may still be some books available direct from the Bombeiros in Aljezur if any readers wants one and, if anyone, particularly poets from all nationalities, wants to get involved in future projects, please contact Tony Wyld at twyld59@gmail.com.
