Thirty permanent employees will be created by the new store, which will be situated in Moyross.

The 1,315-square-meter, €7 million store is anticipated to open in late 2025.

Its 110-space car park will also have six electric vehicle charging points.

The store will have 90 square metres of solar panels on its roof, meaning that it will run entirely on renewable energy.

The supermarket chain noted that it currently collaborates with six food and drink companies in Limerick and that the investment will offer "even further opportunities for local food and drink suppliers to work with Aldi."
