It is projected that the project will generate 600 employment in construction and 100 jobs in science, engineering, and technology.

By 2028, Astellas hopes to have expanded its internal pharmaceutical product production capacity with the opening of this new site.

“Not only will it further the Astellas vision to be at the forefront of healthcare change by turning innovative science into value for patients, but it will also be a growth opportunity for the many people who will bring this facility to life.”

Norma Foley, the minister of education, and Simon Coveney, the minister of enterprise, trade, and employment, attended the groundbreaking event.
