The 9th edition of ÉvoraWine will be held at Praça do Giraldo, promoted by two companies, with the support of the Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Tourism Authority, the Alentejo Regional Wine Commission (CVRA) and Évora Town Hall.

The organisation has stated the 2024 edition of the event will have “numerous features”, one of which is the extension of the space, as ÉvoraWine will occupy “the entire available area of Praça do Giraldo”.

This event “allows producers to share the knowledge and flavours of the Alentejo” and “highlights the wine, gastronomy culture and traditions” of the region.

Presented as the “biggest wine event in the Alentejo”, ÉvoraWine “will showcase more than 250 wines from the region”, said organisers, predicting that this edition will attract “around 8,000 national and foreign visitors” over the two days.

“A prominent feature of the 2024 edition of the event will be gastronomy, with the establishment of partnerships that will allow visitors to dine on-site and savour typical Alentejo dishes”, added the organisation.

The president of the Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Tourism Authority, José Santos, emphasised that “wine is now one of the main anchors for visits in the region”. And for this reason, the event is “important for boosting tourism in the Alentejo”.

“ÉvoraWine is the only event in the Alentejo that puts producers in direct contact with national and foreign consumers, which makes it a highly rich source of information about the wines produced in the region”, explained Reto Frank Jorg, the event’s organiser.

Reto Frank Jorg considers the event “is an open door for tourism, which is essential for the growth and recognition of the region”.
