For the past five years, bragging rights over the world’s longest baguette have belonged to a clutch of bakers in Como, Italy.

However, a crop of 12 bakers from France set out to rectify this, spending hours kneading, shaping, and baking their way back to victory.
The baguette made in Suresnes, in the western suburbs of Paris, broke the world record by measuring 140.53 meters in comparison to the 132.62 meters of the previous one.
