Monsignor Benomi “Don Ben” Ambarus, who was the official responsible for managing Francis’ charity and prison pastoral care in Rome, said that before his death, the pope donated €200,000 to the Casal Del Marmo juvenile detention prison.
Throughout his time as pope, he was entitled to a papal salary of some €30,000 a month, but he refused to collect it, deferring the funds to various organisations, churches, and groups in need.
I don't usually have time for the last pope, but if what is reported is true, I take my hat off to him. Obviously following the good example of President Trump, who gave all his salary to various charities during his first tem and continues to do so. MAGA!
