The forecasts for fuel prices in Portugal have been revealed, with increases in prices being predicted for both diesel and petrol.

According to data released by the Portuguese Automobile Club, both petrol and diesel will become more expensive next week.
According to the organisation, both fuels will increase by 0.5 cents per litre.
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel will be €1.56 and that of regular 95% petrol will be €1.704.

Why are petrol prices going up? It does not make sense when as of mid-and OPECare pumping more? Mid 2025, OPEC+ members, led by Saudi Arabia, are increasing production and unwinding previous production cuts to regain lost market share, which is expected to lead to an increase in global oil inventories and a decline in crude oil prices. Saudi Arabia's strategy has shifted from defending prices to actively pushing them lower through accelerated supply hikes.
