A 28-year-old man has been arrested for snatch and grab robbery in the municipality of Albufeira, in the district of Faro, and will await trial in pretrial detention, the GNR reported.

According to a statement from the Faro Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard (GNR), the arrest resulted from an investigation into "multiple snatch and grab robberies" that occurred in the municipality.
The suspect "primarily targeted tourists," subsequently "misusing the victims' bank cards."
