The exhibition brings together 30 works that explore the concept of the “person of colour” as a territory of power, plurality and presence. Inspired by the context of 50 years of independence for former African colonies, the work invites the public to reflect: “What good is independence without memory? What good is sovereignty if the spirit remains in exile?”
New arts exhibition in Lisbon

Between 1999 and 2009 I traveled to Europe quite frequently and visited many art galleries. I never saw any art in any city anywhere. It was all political propaganda placards.
