The partnership situates the STEEL Line within an industrial and international context, ensuring continuity and scale for a project recognised for its formal consistency, conceptual maturity, and strong reception from the public and critics. The agreement stems from a meeting between the productive experience of a century-old brand and a contemporary design language with its own distinct identity.
Comprising tables, chairs, and benches, the STEEL Line is produced from sheet steel and steel tubing and was designed for use in outdoor spaces and in high-traffic contexts. The project originated within the Ghome brand, created by Gonçalo Prudêncio, and is based on principles of sustainability, production ethics, and the valorisation of design developed in Portugal.

By integrating the collection into ADICO's catalogue, it enters a new phase, benefiting from the industrial capacity and long-term vision of a company with over 100 years of experience in the manufacture of metal furniture, with a consolidated presence in international markets.
For Gonçalo Prudêncio, this collaboration represents "a double achievement," marking the closing of one cycle of the Ghome project and the beginning of a new stage with a historical reference in the sector, with the aim of taking the "Created in Portugal" concept to a global scale.
According to Pedro Sottomayor, Creative Director of ADICO, the integration of the AÇO Line naturally arose within the context of the brand's strategic renewal, emphasising the importance of collaborating with Portuguese designers whose work is distinguished by its clarity, coherence, and timelessness.
The AÇO line is already integrated into landmark projects in Portugal, such as the recently inaugurated Museum of Music in Mafra, and was distinguished by Monocle magazine with the “Most Playful Design” award, placing it in the Top 50 Designs of 2025.
More information about the collection is available on the official ADICO website.
