Immigration measures
During the debate, the resolution of 400,000 pending cases was highlighted, as well as the adoption of a new framework, "including the end of the expression of interest, the creation of the National Unit for Foreigners and Borders, and new legislation."
Housing measures
Next week, the Council of Ministers will approve "reforms to the rental regime and inheritance law, particularly regarding the sale of undivided inheritances, with the aim of increasing the housing supply and unlocking properties that have been unused for decades."
Labour legislation measures
Regarding the labour market, the Government intends to maintain social dialogue, as "dozens of meetings have already been held and multiple standards agreed upon." Luís Montenegro also says, as quoted on the government website, that it is "possible to have more flexible legislation without harming the essential rights of workers."

The inheritance laws definitely need to change. Every town & city & village I have visited over the years, has at least one abandoned house, often several. The windows are often bricked up and the roof is falling in. Who is paying the IMI? If that is not being paid, surely it means that the relevant council should be able to commence proceedings to compulsory purchase the property.
