26 people arrested for drug trafficking in Chamusca

Twenty-six people were arrested by the GNR on suspicion of drug trafficking, at an event at Herdade da Calha do Grou, in Chamusca, Santarém, announced that police force, which seized hundreds of doses of narcotic drugs.

In a statement, the GNR explains that it arrested 26 people over the weekend, aged between 18 and 40, as part of a special criminal prevention operation that also resulted in the seizure of 430 doses of MDMA, 252 doses of hashish, 60 doses of cocaine, 15 grams of ecstasy, 18 LSD stamps and nine doses of cannabis.

Various materials were also seized for packaging and consumption of the substances.

As a result of police investigations, a 19-year-old man was detained due to an irregular situation in national territory, having been reported to the Foreigners and Borders Services (SEF).

The detainees were constituted defendants and the facts referred to the Santarém Judicial Court.

This operation included the reinforcement of the Intervention Unit's Cinotechnical Intervention Group.
