Lisbon: The cloud cover in the capital is set to continue throughout the weekend with temperatures peaking at 26 degrees and dropping to lows of 17 degrees. From Monday the chance of rain in Lisbon will increase, as will the cloud cover with blue skies and higher temperatures only expected for the end of the week.

The centre: Intermittent cloud cover is expected over the weekend in the centre of Portugal with temperatures averaging daily highs of 26 degrees and nightly lows of 12 degrees. From Monday the thermometers are set to rise again with temperatures increasing as the week progresses to highs of 31 degrees.

The north: It is set to be a wet weekend in the north with rain predicted all weekend and until Tuesday. Temperatures are to remain mild with highs of 22 degrees and lows of 16 degrees before rising from Wednesday to highs of 24 degrees as the cloud clears slightly.

The south: It will be a sunny and dry weekend in the south with blue skies and temperatures reaching highs of 28 degrees and lows of 17 degrees. From Monday temperatures are to rise again and for the rest of the week up to daily highs of 31 degrees and nightly lows of 19 degrees.
