Despite playing in front of a partisan crowd, Benfica had their goalkeeper Ederson to thank for keeping the German attack from scoring, with the Brazilian also saving a penalty.
Benfica will now travel to northern Germany in a fortnight from now, knowing that avoiding defeat will put them through to the quarter-finals of this lucrative competition.

Maybe you should at least mention the horrific conditions in front of the stadium! The organisation and the behaviour of both the police and the security staff was horrible! What a brutal crowd!
