The new traffic restrictions imposed on the renewal of the state of emergency stipulate that between 00:00 on Thursday and 24:00 on the 13th, travel cannot be made outside the municipality of residence, except in authorized situations , such as those related to work.

The joint PSP and GNR inspection operation has 35,000 elements on the ground.

In Portugal, according to the pandemic balance made on Thursday by the Directorate-General for Health, there were 409 deaths, 29 more than the day before (+ 7.6%), and 13,956 confirmed cases of infections, which represents an increase of 815 over Wednesday (+ 6.2%).

Of those infected, 1,173 were hospitalized, 241 of whom were in intensive care units, and 205 were recovered.
