Coronavirus not affecting Algarve reservations

Coronavirus concerns are not affecting reservations in Algarve hotels at present, but businesses fear that there may be a drop in demand for the Easter period.

This is according to a report by TV station SIC, in which the Algarve Tourism Board affirmed that the Directorate-General for Health is preparing specific recommendations for the sector.

Please help, what is happening with coronavirus in Portugal, is there a compulsory quarantine on arrival. Are hotels and shops open. Can someone please advise.
Hoping for some help thank you Jenny Gibson

We've just returned to UK from a glorious six days in the Algarve. Fantastic weather, food, gardens, scenery & people.. Used a hand sanitiser & wipes when we were on public transport, in restaurants etc. Was awful returning to media - fuelled doomsday scenarios in UK today.. Wish could have stayed in Algarve till Autumn..

We have booked again to holiday in the Algarve - its a wonderful place with its peoples and a little virus scare is not putting us off, nor should it put anyone else off too.
