The company of the State's business sector, responsible for the exploration and management of fishing ports and auctions, indicated in a statement that the work, worth 45 thousand euros, included the replacement and installation of equipment to improve energy efficiency in that port of the district of Faro.

According to Docapesca, the new equipment allows “savings in energy costs as a result of the reduction in installed power from 10,800 watts to 4,176 watts”.

The intervention focused on the general replacement of the transformation station, the dismantling of existing equipment and the assembly of 33 LED luminaries, nine projectors in the lighting towers and eight lamps in the auction park.

The work was co-financed by community funds through the Mar 2020 operational programme.
