According to the Portuguese Met Office, the weather advisory will remain in place until 3pm tomorrow afternoon, with waves of up to 2.5 metres expected off the southern Portuguese coast.


No other alerts have been issued for the remainder of the country, though frost is predicted to be widespread in the coming days in inland areas, while wind gusts of up to 60 kilometres an hour are expected in the Algarve and high-lying areas.
