The number of terrestrial and air resources is reduced after today, the end of level III operational commitment, in which, since the beginning of the month, 9 279 fire fighters, 1 972 vehicles and 60 aircraft were mobilised.

The operational directive establishing DECIR indicates that as of Wednesday the commitment of combat assets will be at level II, with the forces of permanent commitment and 39 air assets on the ground.

The permanent commitment forces will include fire brigades, the emergency protection and relief unit (UEPS) of the GNR, the special fire brigade and the forest fire brigades and teams.

DECIR emphasises that 'the hazard and risk assessment will determine the level of additional resource engagement'.

The network of 72 primary observation stations remain in operation until November 6.
